The LightSpeed™ R22 units are the latest generation of the LightSpeed™ optical communication system, incorporating the latest technology in a handheld package. The eye-safe IR LED (no laser) used by R22 allows non-visible communications between units at distances up to 2km. Using the supplied headsets, R22 provides full-duplex voice communication. The units also function as an Ethernet link to a remote computing device or to another system via a standard Ethernet connection. In situations where a hardwire connection is unavailable or undesirable, R22 are the perfect alternative to cables.
